![]() NOTES FROM GRANDMA'S ZWAANTJE'S HYMNAL: "Mother & Father and my brothers, sisters and I used to sing from morn till night. How I did love to hear them all and after Ma was gone and Dad, the neighbors said they missed the singing. "Does Jesus Care?" My dear Mother sang this song so often and especially after our dear loving Father passed away Feb.26, 1921. We children couldn't help but weep. She sang it so feelingly. Dear Mother, so good, dear soul. Mother passed away March 12, 1922, Sunday 9 pm." "Under His Wings" --Brother Henry sang this often while he stayed with us in Sterling, 1905. "I Gave My Life for Thee" --Father-Mother sang this so often. They were always singing. And how can we ever forget them? Never. "Ring the Bells of Heaven" --I sang this song thru this AM with my family worship in memory of my dear Father who sang it so often. This is his birthday, Jan.31, 1846. Daddy-Mother converted when Rev. Wm. Huelster came. Thereafter, he was always a friend of the family. "God Will Take Care of You" --Mother had a beautiful voice, soprano, sang high. How beautifully Mother used to sing this song. more inscriptions |
