A little too addicted to work in the early years, we chose Friday so I could be at work on Sunday, have a two week honeymoon, and only miss one Sunday. I've gotten a little wiser, hopefully. Lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends came. Good to us. No cake: the baker thought the wedding was on Saturday. Said Kathy told her the wrong date. First bride to get her wedding date wrong. Any excuse better than none. (Uncle Phil and Aunt Mary bought us a cake from a bakery by our honeymoon cabin.) And the interminable program. "Let's see.. Anyone else know a trio?" Late Friday night, friends rescued us, moved us toward our car, and said, "Go." Battery problems. Carl loaned us his car for our first overnight. Everyone kind and good to us young ones.
