Mocha Moment:
Early Press: 2003

We opened on Monday, January 13, 2003 at 5:00 am. Since we had no experience and didn't know what we were doing, we didn't advertise: The last thing we needed was a long line on opening morning. That all changed when Gazette reporter Mike DuPre, who frequented Mocha Moment, put us on the front page, Saturday, February 22, 2003. This coverage significantly boosted our exposure and our customers increased. Thanks, Mike.

Bike to Work Week
The Janesville Gazette ran a series called "Bike to Work Week" and on May 12, 2010 featured me. It was fun. I had told the photographer that "it only takes an extra minute to bike over driving." He took the pic on the left, and I started for home. I made the light, and he didn't. He had barely stopped his car and jumped out (maybe 2 seconds to spare) with his camera when he snapped the pic at the right (arriving home). I wasn't even racing. Many times over the next several months, people would see me in the truck and say, "I didn't know you could drive," or "Do you have a license?"
