Laying the Cornerstone, May, 1925
In an amazing coincidence Grandma Holtzman and Daughter Ruth attended the laying of the cornerstone for the new church. So they were present for this photo. But good luck identifying them!
Do you remember May 1925 when Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Rich took you-I to Forreston to Daddy's grave, and it happened to be the Sunday the corner stone was laid for the new church. And how good of Rev. I. Divan in Nov. when he took us to the dedication. The Church means much to you-me. We planned-paid for one of the windows in that church in honor of Mother-Father who had worshipped in the church for almost 30 years. Henrietta, Jennie, Gertji, Mart paid $10 each, also Susan, Ira, Christena paid $10 toward their parents. A fine tribute to our honorable loved ones.
