Business card and city directory entry concerning Grandma Holtzman's photographer, Wm. Kasten: After having had eight years experience in the art of Photography in this city, William Kasten may lay claim to having built up one of the largest businesses in his line in Freeport. In addition to this he had had many years practice before locating here, and it is said by his numerous patrons that it is seldom that any person becomes more proficient in the same length of time. The work he has produced, many specimens of which may be examined in his palors, provesall that we have written, and all the most enthusiastic admirers of skill in art have said in regard to his attainments. Since his establishment here he has done a good business, and been patronized by many leading citizens of this vicinity. He produces everything in the way of pictures known to the art but makes a specialty of "enamel photographs," samples of which may be examined at his rooms, 87 Stephenson street, where visitors are always welcome. Wm. Kasten is an affiable and genial gentleman, which, together with his artistic skill, and with the assistance of his son, Will. J., will no doubt secure him a still larger trade.
