Jerry and the Infamous Suspenders

Chunky Jerry! I'm not sure where..probably in S.D. I think the picture is one of Mom and Dad's friend. Perhaps Mother will remember. If so, it would be the basement apartment of Grandpa Tschetter's second home. One of my early memories from those days in the basement apartment was of twisted suspenders. I was not old enough to communicate that my suspenders were twisted on my backside, so I continued to cry and fuss until Mom got the message and fixed my suspenders! (recollections by Jerry)

Great Picture! I love the way Dad would place his hat at an angle; that was typical of his generation. After moving back to Wisconsin, I don't remember Dad wearing hats in any season of the year. Not until his middle 70's did he start wearing baseball hats, but never at an angle. The car in the picture is most likely the car that Dianna fell out of while Mom was driving down a South Dakota road. Linda and I would continue this "tradition," but John and those following thought it best to stay put in moving vehicles. (Jerry)
