Abram Hey unloading milk at Hey Brothers
Back of Photo: First Truck (new).
Had hard tires. About 1920-21.

A clipping from a farm publication with a letter to the editor by a salesman who wrote of stopping at Hey Brothers: "On my return trip I stopped in at Hey Brothers, Sterling, Ill., and Abe Hey wanted to know what state in the Union was the greatest dairy state. After advising him, he told me I was all wet and that it was Nevada because the cream of society goes there to be separated."

Apparently, Grandpa (2nd from right) enjoyed both a good joke and a good laugh. To Grandpa Hey's left (far right in photo) is Bill Harshman, Grandpa's future brother-in-law, married to Grandpa's sister, Verna.

(not a great photo, but worth the look)
