Dad: Welcome to Riverbend!

After mom and dad moved to Florida in 1971, they never failed to come north to Wisconsin for a couple weeks' vacation. But in the 1980's, they excitedly announced that they had bought a lot at Riverbend, a resort located a few miles west of Watertown. They were especially proud that their purchase would allow all their children and grandchildren to come to Riverbend, stay, and use the pool and all the facilities without charge. It turned out even better than that. By the late 1980's, mom and dad stayed north for the summer, arriving before Memorial Day and leaving by Labor Day every year. For about 20 years, until 2002 dad and mom's health began to fail, children and grandchildren from Florida, Texas, and Wisconsin gathered regularly to visit, cookout, swim, and enjoy great times.
