Nancy Forsythe Dean
Alfred appears in Book "N," Page 436 of the Franklin County, Tennessee deed records. His father-in-law, Barnett Forsythe, is recorded as "having bestowed upon his beloved son-in-law, Alfred Deen, 100 acres of land, one waggon, ten head of cattle, nineteen head of hogs, one clock, one cupboard, one table, five beds and bedsteads and furniture, fifty barrels of corn, three head of horses, thirteen chains and farm plows, and five negro slaves." This deed was executed on 3 March 1834.
