Needing a bigger house, Mom and Dad left Avenue O for Lake View Court. We lived there for a year or two.

That's the canal behind the Lake View Court house. That would be Lake Hartridge, I believe. We had the most fun on that boat." (Judy)

Mom was always selling something: Avon, Stanley, Amway, Shaklee, or Barley Green. Doing particularly well with Shaklee, Mom was proud of this Shaklee car she earned from her sales volume.
"Shaklee days were a bit tiring. Every time we pulled up into a gas station, we couldn't leave until Mom told somebody how the gas mileage would last longer if you put basic H in the tank." (Judy)
