John Phillip Hey built several houses in Sterling, Illinois. His son, Abram Hey, lived in this brick home with his first wife, Alberta, after their wedding, December 15, 1915. The man standing and facing the camera appears to be Abram, so it's likely the man bending over working is John Phillip.
