On Saturday, July 9, we gathered at their church to celebrate Mom & Dad's 60th anniversary with a meal and slide show. Like 60 years before, Dad was very sick. We came back to our house to eat cake, play caroms, take photos, and reminisce. My favorite memory: So sick, and after 60 years, Dad striking a sweet pose with mother. It would prove to be several finals: all the brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law together, all the sons together with mom and dad, and all the grandchildren, minus Caleb, together with mom and dad.
