Grandpa Hey

Touring
Unlabeled photo in Grandpa's collection. California? Honeymoon? Grandma and/or Grandpa in the car? Anyway, an interesting, old photo.

The White Motor Co made vehicles similar, if not identical to this, for use in Yellowstone, Glacier and other national parks beginning around WWI. I'm thinking with the signature grill shape this is a White touring vehicle from the early 1920's and it does appear to have an insignia on the door which could be the Big Horn Sheep associated with Glacier National Park. Restored and re-engineered 1935 White tour coaches nicknamed "Jammers" still ply the famous Going to the Sun road up through Logan Pass each summer today in Glacier National Park. Grandpa Hey & Esther
Whittier, California, January 2, 1927
Grandpa may have been visiting his father. Who is Esther? Is this a daughter of his father's wife? Don't know. This is 10 months before Grandpa married Ruth Holtzman.

Abe Hey & Earl Temple
Who was Earl Temple? No idea.
