Mom's First Kindergarten Class
1974-1975

Faith Baptist Christian School
1974-1999

Mom taught all 25 years: the first 7 in kindergarten, the last 18 in junior high and high school, teaching history, English, literature, and government.

"When I asked Dad if he would mind my teaching in the school, he told me it would be okay as long as I did not take any pay as he "would pay my salary." He always did. Dad was a good provider through all of our life together. Any gifts I received through the school, I always used to buy equipment for the school to use. Also, Dad okayed my helping home schoolers and enjoyed reading to the younger children while I taught the older ones." (Mom)

Appreciation in Bygone Years

July 12, 2014

Former students came from far (Kansas City and California) and near to help throw a surprise, appreciation party for Mom. She was, indeed, surprised.

Mom again Plays "Horsengoggle"
"We played it when a class had treats and there were one or two extra pieces of candy. On 'ein, zwei, drei, horsengoggle,' everyone put up one to five fingers. I would count the total and then count off that number to see who received the extra treat."
