Martin Baer and his wife Mary were Mennonite and are buried in the Mennonite section of Riverside Cemetery, next to the Mennonite Church, in Sterling, Illinois. John Phillip Hey divorced his wife Elizabeth Baer, so she is buried with her father and mother, in the family plot. (Observe her stone to the far left behind the family marker. Also, observe the confusion of spellings, Baer/Bear, on the same stone.)
