 Mom & Dad Engaged January 23, 1951 January, 1951. Drove Jeep to Denver and gave Jan engagement ring this night, January 23. Coming home alone in snowstorm, wrecked Jeep in Pueblo, Colorado. Stayed in hotel. Repaired jeep. Returned to Colorado City (6 inches of snow in Colorado City). January, Colorado  |

Skiing Dad, Mom, Eleanor Werme, Ross Morgan  Eleanor, a close college friend, and Ross did not marry. Eleanor married a doctor from Denver. Eleanor visited me in Illinois the year Steve was in first grade. I remember since she was with me when I took Steve back to school after lunch and backed the car into a snow bank—finally managed to get it out. Strange the things one remembers! |
